SaaScon Saugatuck is pleased to again participate in this spring's SaaScon 2008 -- the premier gathering place for all participants in the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) community. Computerworld expects to bring together more than 500 senior user and vendor executives with a terrific line-up of speakers. The 3rd annual SaaScon will be again held at the Santa Clara Convention Center, in Santa Clara, CA – on March 25th - 26th, 2008. Saugatuck’s founder and CEO, Bill McNee, will deliver a SaaS Strategy presentation on Wednesday, March 26th at 2:00pm PDT, as follows: Enterprise-Ready
SaaS Software-as-a-Service
(SaaS) is quickly migrating beyond its roots in delivering low-cost,
quick-to-install business applications, toward a much more
integrated, scalable and functionally-rich infrastructure and
business services delivery environment. Departmental and niche
solutions are increasingly giving way to broader enterprise
requirements – as users increasingly grasp SaaS’ evolving role
as a platform to address “core” (often mission-critical)
business processes. Robust SaaS ecosystems and marketplaces are
emerging – as well as richer application experiences that support
personalized workflow and collaboration – all part of the Third
Wave of SaaS. At the same time, enterprise users are getting much more sophisticated and savvy, with increased expectations vis-à-vis service levels and accountability, pricing, enterprise integration, SaaS solution functionality, and SaaS provider responsiveness to requested enhancements and changes. These and other trends in enterprise SaaS will be presented and discussed in this session, leveraging key findings from Saugatuck’s most recent SaaS research program and annual SaaS Research Report due to be released in April, 2008. To access Saugatuck’s press release highlighting Mr. McNee’s presentation, click here. For information or to register for the event, visit the SaaScon Web site at www.saascon.com.
